Crédit Mutuel Equity encompasses all of the private equity and M&A advisory activities of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.

Over the last 40 years, Crédit Mutuel Equity has been advising and supporting leaders of companies at all stages of development, from start-up to succession, offering them the resources and time needed to implement their transformation projects.

Its investment philosophy revolves around the sharing of expertise and experience by business leaders to create value for all stakeholders - shareholders, companies and employees - as part of a responsible, sustainable and people-oriented vision.

Crédit Mutuel Equity has a solid regional presence in France (Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux, Lille, Strasbourg, Marseille, Toulouse) as well as an international presence in Europe (Germany and Switzerland) and North America (Canada and the US), enabling companies to consolidate their growth drivers.

  1. Private equity

    Crédit Mutuel Equity holds equity investments in more than 350 companies and also in the capital of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale via three business lines, with the capacity to deploy investment amounts of between €5 million and €150 million per transaction:

    • Growth capital: the traditional business of Crédit Mutuel Equity, through which it makes minority growth capital investments in companies to help them complete the defining stages in their growth strategy by providing flexible capital tailored to their project schedules.
    • Buyout capital: structuring of majority buy-out deals enabling a owners to sell their businesses in one or more stages.
    • Innovation capital: the technology venture capital teams work alongside tech start-ups to help them through their different growth phases, from the seed capital stage through to project completion.

    Crédit Mutuel Capital Privé, a subsidiary of Crédit Mutuel Equity, operates investment funds for third-party investors. It currently has assets under management of €150 million.

  2. M&A advisory

    CIC Conseil is the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale subsidiary that specializes in mergers and acquisitions. It comprises a recognized team of around thirty professionals who operate throughout France, providing support to companies, their leaders and shareholders with transactions in France and internationally. Its services include all aspects of equity capital (industrial disposals, LBOs/OBOs/MBOs, company acquisitions, spin-offs, mergers and fundraisings).

Recent events

Crédit Mutuel Equity provided services to around 40 companies during the first half of 2019, including Hardis Group, Feedaxess, Alpina Savoie, La Compagnie des Vétérinaires, Brüning, Keen Eye, Visible Patient, Little Big Job, Misteel Co. and Systosolar.
